Golden Summit · Camp 1 · Lookout Rock
Multiple timeframes
Just above the cloud line sits a broad rock worn flat by the wind: Lookout Rock. From here, Doruk, the summit lookout, can see both the trail below and the whole valley. Here you'll learn to look at the same chart through more than one window.
The camp's rules
- 01
The higher timeframe gives you the direction; the lower timeframe gives you the entry. Look at H1 (or higher) first: that's where the trend and the big levels are.
- 02
Every candle on the lower timeframe sits inside a candle on the higher one: four M15 candles merge into one H1 candle. The two windows show the same price from different distances.
- 03
The cleanest setup is where both windows say the same thing: H1 is rising, and on M15 a pullback holds and turns back up.
- 04
When the windows disagree (a breakout up on M15, but H1 falling with H1 resistance right overhead), you either wait or cut your risk. The lower timeframe can't knock down the higher timeframe's wall on its own.
- 05
The stop comes from the lower timeframe's structure, the target from the higher timeframe's levels: stop close, target far.
Teaching
Two windows, one plan
H1 first: which way is the trend, and where are the big levels? That tells you which direction to look for trades in.
Then M15: a pullback within the H1 trend, and a sign that it's over (the trough holds, the candle turns).
The stop goes by M15's structure (below the bottom of the pullback), the target at H1's level. Stop close, target far: the ratio improves on its own.
Doruk · Summit lookout
Small door, big wall
If the M15 breakout happens under H1 resistance, price doesn't have far to go: the target runs into the wall.
Breakouts against the higher timeframe's direction get reclaimed more often. When you win, it's a small win. When you lose, it's a full loss.
Your options: wait (and enter if the higher timeframe turns too), or go in with very small risk and a close target. No big trades when the windows disagree.

Direction from above, entry from below
Enter in H1's direction, on an M15 pullback.

When the windows disagree
If the lower timeframe is running into the higher timeframe's wall, don't rush.

Lookout Rock exam
Read both windows together: direction, place, timing.
Test yourself
H1 is in an uptrend. On M15, price is pulling back. What do you look for?
- ✓ A buy signal showing the pullback is over
- · A sell as the pullback continues
- · Nothing. You don't trade pullbacks
A pullback is where the bigger trend catches its breath. The sign that it's over (a trough that holds, a candle that turns) is your entry.
H1 is in a downtrend. On M15, price is rising toward H1's last lower high. What's the plan?
- ✓ Wait for a turn on M15 at H1 resistance, then sell
- · M15 is rising, so buy
- · Sell right away; H1 is down anyway
The direction comes from H1 (down), the place from H1's resistance, and the timing from M15's turn.
